AAs part of its mission of Planting and Growing a Greener Future, Tree Adoption Foundation (TAF) visited Highway Secondary School in Nairobi County, where the Foundation donated over 500 indigenous and fruit tree seedlings to promote environmental conservation and foster a culture of tree planting among young people.

In collaboration with Access Bank Kenya and National Bank of Kenya, TAF organized a career mentorship and environmental awareness town hall that brought together students and professionals from diverse fields. Representatives from the two banks—including experts in Information Technology, Audit, Investment Banking, Strategy, and Accounting—shared valuable insights into their respective careers, equipping students with knowledge to make informed academic and professional choices.

The students also participated in an engaging health education session led by a medical professional, covering important topics such as puberty, sexual health, drug and substance abuse prevention, and responsible decision-making.

The event was further enriched by the presence of former Nairobi City Mayor, His Worship Joe Akech, an alumnus of Highway Seconday School and the school's PTA Chairperson. He inspired the students with his experiences in leadership, public service, environmental conservation, and urban sustainability, urging them to become active participants in protecting the environment for future generations.

The day's activities culminated in a tree planting exercise, where every student and invited guest planted a tree seedling. The Tree Adoption Foundation team provided practical training on proper tree planting techniques and post-planting care, ensuring that the seedlings will grow into lasting symbols of environmental stewardship.

Through initiatives such as this, Tree Adoption Foundation continues to empower young people with the knowledge, skills, and responsibility to become champions of environmental conservation and sustainable development.
