Daisy Onyiego

Human Resources Manager

Ms. Onyiego has over 8 years extensive experience in human resources, corporate governance, company law and administration both in Government (Kenyan) and the private sector. She has supported both Boards of Management and Boards of Directors in aligning their operational policies to their strategic objectives.

Ms. Onyiego is a B. Com (HR) graduate from the University of Nairobi and is currently pursuing her Masters in Global Business. She is a professional member of CHRP (K), ICPS (K) and Women on Boards Kenya.

With an extensive background in stakeholder engagement; Ms. Onyiego is a great resource to the Tree Adoption Foundation in  working with local communities and government agencies to implement Participatory Forest Management (PFM) approaches, forest management planning and ensuring that local communities benefit from forest resources while also protecting them.

Austin Otieno

Corporate Communications Manager

Austin Otieno is a dynamic communications expert with a Master’s degree in International Relations and a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism. With a career spanning over a decade, Austin brings a wealth of experience in strategic communications, television production, and digital marketing. His professional journey reflects a deep commitment to impactful storytelling, content creation, and media strategy, honed through years of working with diverse media outlets, development organizations, and environmental initiatives. Austin’s expertise lies in crafting compelling narratives that engage audiences, build awareness, and drive action—skills that are critical in advancing environmental causes.

At the Tree Adoption Foundation, Austin serves as a vital link between our mission and the public, leveraging his communications acumen to amplify our voice and reach. His passion for environmental sustainability aligns seamlessly with the foundation’s goals, allowing him to effectively translate complex environmental issues into accessible and inspiring messages. Whether through producing engaging video content, managing digital campaigns, or fostering media partnerships, Austin plays a central role in promoting our initiatives and mobilizing communities to participate in tree planting and climate resilience efforts.

Hani Mohamud

Finance & Accounting Manager

Hani Mohamud is a results-oriented finance and business administration professional with a strong academic foundation and practical expertise in financial management, strategic planning, and business operations. She holds dual degrees in Business Administration and Finance from the Africa Nazarene Un , complemented by her professional certification as a Certified Public Accountant – Kenya (CPA-K) from Daystar University.

With a keen eye for detail and strong analytical skills, Hani brings a wealth of knowledge in financial reporting, budgeting, auditing, and compliance with regulatory frameworks. Her background in business administration enhances her ability to align financial strategies with broader organizational goals, ensuring sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

Charles Ouma

Corporate Strategy Manager

Charles Ouma is a dedicated and versatile professional with a Master’s degree in Strategic Management (MBA) from the University of Nairobi and a Bachelor’s degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKIUAT).
Over the years, he has built a diverse career in spanning Information Technology supervision, MEALS (Monitoring, Evaluation, Accountability, and Learning) specialization, and training and coaching across multiple domains.

Charles brings a strategic lens to Tree Adoption Foundation. He will be streamlining systems, evaluating programmes effectiveness, and facilitating the teams with learning experiences.
He is a passionate environmentalist committed to afforestation efforts and sustainable environmental stewardship.
