Operations

We have a team of competent staff that is able to identify different kinds of trees for each particular soil, plant the trees, water them and provide them with manure, and maintain them. We will partner with other environmental conservation agencies and government departments to ensure that the planted trees are protected from any form of destruction such as illegal logging

Project One

Tree Adoption Foundation has partnered with local communities including local administrations to agressively propagate trees in areas where major loggings took place. With the assistance of chiefs and assistant chiefs, TAF has a perfect partnership capable of mobilising locals to take part in afforestation and reforestation activities. Case in point include Kericho, Busia, Bomet, and Kisii where locals took part in a massive tree planting drive.

Project Two

Tree Adoption Foundation (TAF) aims to educate kids and teens in both lower and high schools to be active champions in afforestation and reforestation. Through such partnerships, TAF aims to achieve both educational and environmental preservation objectives. We provide these schools and kids with seeds to be used to develop seedbeds as part of their CBC projects. The result is promising. With kids championing environmental conservation, TAF's objective of having a responsible generation is thus enhanced.

Project Three

Tree Adoption Foundation (TAF) has gone a step further in its partnership drive by incorporating disciplined forces in its tree planting drive. Such partnerships have bore major successes more so in rural Kenya. Prison officers and Kenya National Youth services have been a big partner in our projects in various parts of the country.

Ministry of Environment and Forestry- GOK

The Kenyan Government through the Presidential directive of JazaMiti initiative in partneship with Safaricom, Ministry of Environment and Climate change & Forest ICT aim to plant 15 Billion trees. This aim is aided by an app developed by the line ministry to help provide information on every aspect of the trees. Tree Adoption Foundation (TAF) inline with this Presidential directive of JAZAMITI, has adopted the app to aid in its day to day activity. We have made massive steps while using this app. We are able to identify the right trees for every environment, documenting, tracking and monitoring the growth. By aligning our objectives with the government's objective, TAF aims to benefit from informational, and logistical support from the government.

What we will do

We will plant drought resistant trees in parks, hills, water catchment areas and maintain them for a period of 5 months while watering them and adding manure until the trees are able to survive independently.
